Stafford. If I thought Sanchez could stay healthy it might be closer, but I don't. He's got terrible knees already.

[quote="Mrcowboy"]I've gotta go Sanchez here....the guy is battle tested and has nerves of steal. He's also played more games than Stafford.

Mrcowboy,
In what regards do you mean that Sanchez is battle tested. 1 year in college, or the 18 games he played in the pros. Save for the 2009 season, Stafford has won or has been “Battle tested” in 3 bowl games in his college career (Georgia won all 3, MVP 2009 Capital One Bowl Stafford). And Stafford tossed for more yds on a worse team without the benefit of a running game or a defense. I guess I’m looking for more of a definitive reason. Guess only time will let us know these guys fair. I hope the both tear it up. I love seeing solid hi draft picks play each other (Roethlisberger, Rivers and Eli Manning, all from 2004)

Hey Bro, It tenacioust from the D

What should wecarr look for from the two new Kids, Stafford and Sanchez. Their stats are comparable
GP GS Att Comp Yds Pct Lg TD INT Rating
Sanchez - 15 15 364 196 2,444 53.8 65 12 20 63.0
Stafford - 10 10 377 201 2,267 53.3 75 13 20 61.0
Even though Stafford played less, he threw a ton more for obvious reasons.

Is it decision making we should look for, patience. I think Stafford will fare better this year with the line being a bit improved and some better defense (Hopefully). If anything, I think the Jets stayed the same this year as last, some upgrades in the secondary. Defense is a good friend of the Qube. It sets up the offense to be in better position. Stafford was not benefiting from a good D at all, where Sanchez had much better field position through the season, and wasn't playing from behind as much.

I think they are both excellent QB's, however, I really think that Stafford has a lot more upside. And more to prove being that Sanchez had better situation, and less adversity. I guess I think that Stafford had the opportunity to learn under more fire than Sanchez.
I think that helps a QB if he is able come out of the fire not shaken. He still seems confident.

Thanks Bro

Worked well for David Carr

This thing is fubar, right iin the middle of me typing it shifts and screws up my whole message. I thought I'd come by and give my thoughts. Staffords gonna be a great one, he was a winner in H.S., won a state championship here in Texas. Don't worry about it. These things take time.

Another thing, look how Big Ben did his first year with a great team and a running game ,due to a great offensive line. That's where you build it. How many top 3 linemen have the Lions drafted? You hope to get lucky with 3rd and 4th rounders that can fill the need. Unless they can protect him, he's gonna end up like that kid in S.F. Or the kid they drafted in the first round Kissinger or something like that. The games I saw him play, he put the ball on the numbers and the receivers dropped it, Harrington... it just came to me...I personally don't want to see the Lions get better, but would rather see them in the playoffs than the freakin' Pack
