Dean Dalton's Bio
He’s the co-host of Sports Final on KARE-11 and Dalton is known in the upper Midwest as “Coach.” Few are as in-touch and well versed about football than “Coach” Dean Dalton. Dalton is a “football mind” and he expertly shares his thoughts with an "NFL Insider" perspective each and every week on TV and radio stations throughout the United States.

Since stepping away from coaching, Dalton has served as a football analyst on ESPN.com, FOX, CBS, ABC as well as Fox Sports Net. Dalton currently can be heard every Saturday on Sirius-XM Radio as a host on the NFL Network as they breakdown the teams, share the latest breaking news, talk directly with NFL players, coaches, general managers and owners while insightfully informing fans what they should look for 52 weeks a year, 7 days a week.
Dalton has first hand experience, having spent the seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Minnesota Vikings high octane offense under Dennis Green, including four as their running backs coach for then Coach Mike Tice. Before joining the NFL, Dalton scouted NFL players for The War Room, an independent scouting service now known as Scouts, Inc. on ESPN, as well as having served for years as an assistant coach at Western Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas Southern, Purdue and a head high school coach in Texas. Dalton was a standout Quarterback and Defensive Back in college and as a Wisconsin high schooler and is a member of the Burlington (WI) High School Hall of Fame.

Ok so here's my first question. I'm trying to figure out who the Colts will try to draft in the first two rounds. Predicting what Polian will do can seem like an impossible task sometimes. Last year though, I thought Donald Brown might be on their radar. If you look back at some of Polian's draft picks, many of them were the best statistically in their position during college. Donald Brown lead the NCAA in rushing, Austin Collie lead the NCAA in recieving yards, the year before Philip Wheeler lead the NCAA in forced fumbles, and if you go back through old drafts each guy had some great stats in college. I know the Colts need some help on the offensive line, but they usually don't draft OL so early in the draft. If there's a pattern, it's that they keep getting Peyton more toys in the early rounds. Using my theory, who are some offensive players that attended the combine that lead their peers statistcally? When you cross-reference the team needs with the most productive guys in the draft, you can try to think like Polian does. Obviously I could be way off base... What do you think?

Oh gee...well real life is much more important. He's got his focus where it should be right now, making sure his home situation is squared away. We can wait.
